Dabbler’s Delight: A Survey Course with Bethany Lyttle*

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at writing a children’s book? Or wondered how to go about writing a graphic novel? Does writing an essay about travel interest you? How about writing a blog, or improving your blog entries?

This four-part survey course, taught by Bethany Lyttle, will include a brief introduction and exploration of the following:

  • Graphic Novel
  • Children’s Literature
  • Travel Writing
  • Blog Writing

Hardly in-depth, the course should be seen as a way to learn some of the basics, explore what interests you, and develop a few project ideas.

RATES: each two-week class is $20.

Bethany Lyttle holds an MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts. A recipient of several literary scholarships, honors and awards, her teaching experience includes adjunct work at Columbia University and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. In addition, she has mentored private students and served as both a freelance writer and editor since 1995. She lives in Brooklyn and Roxbury.
